New Idea

ok so not completely new, we tossed around some versions of this in the past but never stuck with them. 

Idea is:

• Create a facebook page for our subdivision, something catchy like Feise Forest Friends or something
• Make a flyer to put on all doors in subdivision
• Invitation, Link to fb page, description, first months mission
• Each month will be a new target mission (i.e. Sunshine Missions food drive)
• All details for that mission will be in the comments under it
• Where to drop off food
• Deadline
• Total collected
• Member will share a target mission on the fb page, people will "like" it, if likes equal greater than 50% of total members then we will accept that mission for an upcoming month
• Challenge nearby subdivisions to do the same thing for their own subdivision and see who can "outgive" and highest percentage of members
• Challenge for 100% (130 homes) membership
• Make St. Charles County the most organized and generous county in MO
• Target Mission Ideas
• Sunshine Missions Food Drive
• Subdivision Garage Sale - 50% of proceeds to a charity
• Shoe Drive for the Shoe Guy
• Natural Disasters - Manpower

Tasks:

• Come up with name - All
• Make/maintain Facebook page - Amy
• Make Flyers - Jacob/Abby
• Distribute Flyers - Jacob/Abby
• Spread the work - Amy/Jacob/Abby

2011 not our year so far

OK so not the best start to 2011:

• Abby in hospital
• Abby broken arm
• New van wrecked in CO
• Hospital Bills
• Overloaded at Work

But as reminded in today's reading (just happened to be Phil. 4 today)

JZ and Hockey

So jacob and his friend Reshard won the music-off in music class yesterday. It was a class voted competition, any music/song, original or cover, planned, written, performed in one class period. With Reshard on the mic and jacob on the lunch tray (drums) they destroyed the competition. I will see if I can get them to perform it on video and post it.

Hockey season starts today...woot.

DreamLab - Question 2

Q: You're kidding right? This is a joke right?

A: ? What do you mean ?

Q: it just totally doesn't sound 'right', kinda hokey

A: If it sounds "not right" then this might not be for you, God has all kinds of missions for all kinds of people, like I might find it "hokey" to see a children's ministry worker dressed up in overalls, playing a banjo version of BonJovi's Shot Through the Heart while changing the vocals to fit the Judeo Christian theological framework (i.e. {to aforementioned tune} Ask Him into Your Heart, and He'll come in, baby you know love will overcome sin...watch out)...wait...I might be on to something there.

DreamLab - Question 1

Q: Is this meant to bring 12 people together to have a mind share of each person’s goals and everyone help each other get there? What’s your understanding of the purpose?

A: It may end up being that multiple people have the same dream, in that case it would make sense for them to work together on that. It also may end up that there are 12 different dreams and everyone helps/encourages/holds accountable the others. It may end up that everyone starts with different dreams and they mold into one big one or several big ones. It is an open ended book as long as the punchline is people are helped, because in that God is honored.
